An original gift idea: giving contemporary art
Finding a gift that's out of the ordinary, that lasts, and that says something is hard. A work of art ticks all those boxes, and yet it's rarely the first idea. Here's why it deserves serious thought.
Why art is a gift apart
Most gifts wear out, get used up or end up in a drawer. A work on a wall is there every day: it becomes a landmark, an atmosphere, part of daily life.
A numbered, signed art print goes further: the number written by hand (8/20, for instance) and the signature make it an authentic object. The person receiving it knows only about twenty exist in the world, not thousands.
Who is it for?
A work of art is a good gift for someone who:
- likes interiors but hasn't yet taken the step towards art
- has just moved or redone their home
- is interested in contemporary art without collecting
- is hard to surprise with a conventional present
Birthday, housewarming, farewell, Christmas: it genuinely stands out.

What budget?
Prints in the shop start at €70. For that, you're giving a fine art print on Canson Arches 88 paper, numbered and signed by hand. For something truly one-off, there are also the original paintings.
You buy directly from the artist, with no middleman.
How to choose well
If you don't know the person's taste precisely, 30 × 40 cm is a safe choice: it finds a place anywhere without dominating a room. If their home has a strong character, a large size makes more of an impact.
